This was a fun indie horror camp slasher. Acting was good and had some good laugh out loud moments. Definitely felt they did a good job bringing back that 80's nostalgia. Dave Sheridan was hysterical. Had a good twist. Definitely not going to win any awards but I don't think that's what they were going for. If you like indie horror films set a camp. I definitely think it's worth a watch. Run time was a little long but it doesn't feel like it takes forever to get the story going either.

In the interest of being fair to this movie I only expected a low budget "Friday the 13th" knock off. It was so much worse than that.
First scene a couples car breaks down and they decide to camp where they are. The only thing they take is a pillow and a blanket. Suddenly they have a fire and a machete. Then magically they have a tent.
The inconsistency is there right from the very start. Terrible acting, bad direction and a script that I suspect was none existent.
Dismissed.
A word of advice to Mr Kerr. If you're going to try and do a tribute to '80s horror, you need to hire actors that can actually act. Otherwise, you end up with Bloody Summer Camp - a complete embarrassment. Still, judging by the directing, cinematography and editing, Mr Kerr isn't really too concerned about making a good movie.
For anyone looking for an '80s-inspired, good horror movie... this is certainly not it.
By the way, if you ever wonder why a negative review of a cheap movie gets a lot of downvotes, remember: Very few people actually watch these movies. A lot of people looking at the IMDB page for such a movie are the actors, crew, friends and family :)
