Despite what one review says about it been utter garbage is easily dismissed. This person clearly has issues with Mel and his past, yea he has said things but he has serious bipolar, which effects a person in a lot of ways, and if he was a true bigot he wouldnt follow the main man Jesus (jewish)... Yet no one seems to think about that while calling him a antisemite. Anyway, Fatman delivers on all cylinders giving us a great action christmass film, as Lethal Weapon and Die hard did. Will be a cult classic and its that good its a shame Mel didnt make more like this in his hey day when surely it would of been a massive hit. All the cast shine to their potential leaving a cracker of a film. Enjoy.

Mel is still the best...Reviewed byloulou1992Vote: 10/10
FATMAN is the third movie I watched from the Nelms brothers, it is their best one yet.
The first one - LOST ON PURPOSE - was a beautiful love letter to the area and to the times they grew up in. A little film with a fantastic cast - a pure work of passion.
The second one - SMALL TOWN CRIME - is a superb genre mix: Thriller, action, drama, Film Noir - STC has it all.
And now there is FATMAN.The plot sounds so crazy, totally out of the box.It is an artistic miracle what Eshom and Ian Nelms did with this weird but great idea.
First and foremost, the cast is just amazing. It seems Mel Gibson was born for this part, there could not have been a better choice for Santa. At least not for this Santa.Walton Goggins is a great actor for sure, I like him since The Shield. But he surely surpassed my high expectation in Fatman. His performance is pure gold.Marianne Jean-Baptiste has a great chemistry with Mel Gibson, another ideal casting choice.Last but not least, Chance Hurstfield plays the nasty kid, and he surely does a great job since I disliked this little devil soon after some minutes.
The setting (the film was shot in Canada) also fits perfectly into the winter / christmas scenario. It creates the fitting atmosphere for this wild ride.
FATMAN delivers the perfect mixture of humor, drama, action and violence. Thanks to the great job of the Nelms brothers and the perfect cast, FATMAN is likely to become another 'christmas classic' like Die Hard.
A masterpiece and a must-see.
I saw the trailer and loved it. So based on it and my love for Gibson and Goggins, I thought this was going to be a new Christmas classic.
Well, as usual, it's best to keep your expectations low going in. It certainly wasn't a bad movie in any way, and I did find myself chuckling every now and then, but ultimately it left me feeling empty and disappointed.
THE GOOD: Gibson is always great. Goggins is always great. But I really loved the spoiled rich kid who puts the hit out on Santa after getting a piece of coal for Christmas. Honestly, his character was the best thing about the movie, because the casting was perfect (was he intentionally supposed to look like a young Ben Shapiro?), and he truly was a little ****. It might have been nice if he was used a bit more, but what's there is excellent.
THE BAD: The movie's premise runs thin pretty early on, as you already know where it's headed. After a very solid first 40 minutes or so, it just begins to drag until the conclusion, which felt like it suffered from some major budgetary limitations. What could have been legendary just ended up feeling like potential unfulfilled. The running time on the movie isn't very long, but they easily could have trimmed a good ten minutes or more and it probably would have had a better pace. Also, when your premise is supposed to be very adult and offensive, it might have helped if they actually went for it instead of playing it safe.
I did enjoy it, but I can't see myself watching it again sadly.
