Missing Link Review:
In Missing Link, Mr. Link, a Sasquatch, recruits explorer Sir Lionel Frost to help find his long-lost relatives in the fabled valley of Shangri-La. Along with adventurer Adelina Fortnight, this trio of explorers travel the world to help their new friend. I love Laika films since they're the only ones left using stop motion in the film industry. They also find great stories with meaning, except for The Boxtrolls which I didn't care for. I was a little skeptical on this since I thought it could go that same route as The Boxtrolls. I will say I wasn't disappointed. I thought this was a cute film with heart to it. The plot was interesting and kept my attention. The relationship between the characters is what brings it all together. The voice acting was spot on. I loved Hugh Jackman, Zach Galifianakis, and Zoe Saldana together. They were different characters with a goal to help them come together. Now the plot is aimed towards children more so there were some moments where I wish it could've stuck with different dialogue but I understand that the intended audience was mainly children. It was also kind of predictable, which was expected with a film like this. I understood the antagonists' intentions but I wanted a little more development with them. I think they could've spent some time on that. Also there's a backstory with Zoe Saldana's character's husband which was just briefly explained and they also could've taken a moment to delve deeper. That's really the only flaws I had with the plot and characters. The animation was really good with both the stop motion and visual effects needed. Like some Laika films, during the credits they had how they filmed it and I love when they do that. I do believe the Academy will nominate this film for the upcoming Oscars next year. It's a story with heart and meaning while also keeping a main plot steady throughout. I think this is one that many will skip over because they say it looks weird and some don't like or appreciate the art of stop motion animation. I would recommend this film. It's cute and a fun time.

Missing Link Review:
This movie surprised me, not a film that I wanted to see. But my mum took me and enjoyed. Hugh Jackman once again delivers a brilliant performance. I would recommend it to anyone into movies.
A heartwarming story with plenty of laughs and brilliantly animated. Perfect runtime to keep your attention and never feel like it drags on at any point. Zach Galifianakis clearly trying something different here, and somehow finding his way. There are times where it is hard to match Zach Galifianakis with the creature on the screen, but I do not think that Galifianakis was the problem there. If anything, the animators struggled to keep up with Galifianakis' sublime antics and not vice-versa. The story is simple enough, or should I say it doesn't try to be too much. Not a classic, but entertaining, well done, with enough laughs that you will be able to say you had a great time.
