I am glad that I was able to learn about the story of Bernard Garrett and Joe Morris. This movie was enjoyable to watch and Samuel Jackson and Anthony Mackie are excellent together in this film. Of course it is upsetting to watch the racism of that period continually roadblock and take from Garrett and Morris but, it was much more enjoyable watching their accomplishments. History its what it is...it can't be erased.

The Synopsis for The Banker (2020) 1080p
Revolutionary businessmen Bernard Garrett (Anthony Mackie) and Joe Morris (Samuel L. Jackson) devise an audacious and risky plan to take on the racist establishment of the 1960s by helping other African Americans pursue the American dream. Along with Garrett's wife Eunice (Nia Long), they train a working class white man, Matt Steiner (Nicholas Hoult), to pose as the rich and privileged face of their burgeoning real estate and banking empire - while Garrett and Morris pose as a janitor and a chauffeur. Their success ultimately draws the attention of the federal government, which threatens everything the four have built.

Enjoyable movie to watchReviewed bywilbertwwestVote: 8/10
This was a really enjoyable film. A true story that my companions and I had no idea about. Grateful this film was made and will be a useful means of introducing this topic and these inspirational figures to all ages and discuss more deeply.
Its really a unique story and even more so that it was based on historical events. The acting was not bad, it was a little corny at times but as i said the story really carries it.Whats strange is the 5.x rating. There are only a couple of bad reviewers and none of them explain adequately the low score.
