nothing extraordinary new...Reviewed byops-52535Vote: 7/10

Than viewing the ever so ad/hd'ish, ac/dc'ic andrew garfield doing his acts as a dancer and singer on a musical film stage. The pattern of plotdevelopment follows the classic recipie of the 5 stages of drama, and i really miss some real crazy rabbits out of the mad hatters hat.but the acts and chorusline are very well done and produced.

Its a true life story about a true life composer and musicaldramatician jonathan larsson, about his whirlwind hyperactive life as a spire of the vocal arts, and a good contribution it is, and the cast seems to be pretty good compared to archive clips of the real J. L. ,who unfortunately died much to early at an age of 35, due to an aortaaneurism, so R. I. P. And thank you for the music, that still lives on...

but there aint much originality to find in this production, there are so much words to devour at a 100 m flat pace , even with my own language cc's. I think the playtime is a bit stretched, allthough you will get a taste of every emotion human possible to feel by watching. The grumpy old man accalaims the acts by mr garfield, and the small section of movie making a swimming pool into a note sheet to be some of the most cleverly done of all times.

My spouce who are a musical fantast gives a flat hand, boring film but great songvocals, its still room for more, and goes into the better than mediocre salesbin at HMV or Virgin. A recommend for the comemoration of a great artist of the big apple.

A different musicalReviewed byisaacochoterenaVote: 7/10

This musical is different than most.

Although the story of this film is a bit heavy because of the rhythm and the way it tells the story, it manages to empathize with the protagonist, showing an approach to his story, it develops the story very well, but in the end it feels a bit discouraging and sad. Andrew Garfield puts on a spectacular performance, as does the rest of the cast, the production design is good, the songs are very good, and the director pays a very emotional tribute to the person the film is based on.

With a well developed story, the film manages to be emotional, although the story is told in a way that does not seem like there is an ending and some scenes do not work at all, it manages to portray the vision of Jonathan Larson even if you have not heard of he.

FAILReviewed bydanielw-49884Vote: 2/10

Another fail adaptation. No all musicals are made for movies. This one lost all the creativity, humor and relation between the actors and the audience.
